Q: I work at a clinic/office.  May I bring our expired meds to an event?

A: No, we cannot accept medications that are being discarded by clinics or healthcare facilities. We can only accept medications from individual households.

A: You will NOT be asked to provide your name. If you would like, you may cross off your name and address prior to bringing it to the event, but please do NOT cover up the name of the medication.

Q: Should I empty the small containers into one large container?

A: No, please keep medications in the original container or packaging.

A: We will mark through ALL identifying information on containers prior to disposal.  If you would like, you may mark through your name on the containers you are bringing to the event.  Please do NOT cover up the name of the medication.

A: We will accept the medications from you at your vehicle in a drive-through lane.  You should remain in your vehicle at all times at the event location.

A: You will not have to fill out any forms.  You will be asked a few short questions, such as:

1.       How did you learn about this event?

2.       What would you have done with these products if this event had not taken place?

3.       What is your zip code?

Q: Who should I contact to donate money, resources, or food for events?

A: Absolutely, the event is free for one and all.

A: We appreciate any and all help to get the word out about Medication Cleanout events!  If you would like posters or flyers to distribute, give us a call at 806-351-5626 or just click here to email us.  You may also print a brochure.  Spread the word at work, school, church, civic groups, or through email, Facebook, MySpace, or Twitter.  The goal is to get unneeded medications out of homes to "Prevent poisonings, prevent abuse, prevent misuse, and protect the environment".  The more people that know, the better!
